We are delighted to welcome you to Connaught Special School, a new special school opening in the London Borough of Newham in September 2023. Connaught will form part of the Learning in Harmony Trust.
About Connaught Special School
Connaught Special School will be a free-to-attend all-through special provision, specialising in autism spectrum conditions.
The school will act as a Centre of Excellence for professional development and its facilities will be available to the local community.
In its opening year, the Connaught Special School will provide up to 40 pupil places on a temporary site at Upton Cross Primary School on Kirton Road. When our new, purpose-built facility on Royal Road opens the school will have a capacity of 105 pupils aged between 5 and 19 years old.

Admissions Information
If you believe your child would benefit from a place at Connaught, parents are welcome to contact us by email to discuss what Connaught can offer. If you would like to request a place you should then contact your Local Authority SEN Team.
Connaught Special School, as a specialist setting, can only admit pupils where the school is named in the Local Authority (LA) EHC Plan. However, in circumstances agreed with Local Authorities, it may be necessary to make an emergency placement which will be considered on an individual basis whilst a Statutory Assessment for a plan is carried out.
